Past entertainment at Stalbridge Hall
Had 2020 and Covid 19 not put a stop to it, this would have been Stalbridge Halls fourth year as Artsreach Promoters.
We have had some amazing performances, some we knew would be well supported, like Living Spit who always perform to a full house at The Exchange, and some that were a bit outside the box. Who knew Opera in Stalbridge would be a success?
We have hosted comedy nights, Opera, Fairy tales, Cabaret, A celebration of Local Poet William Barnes (Twice) with a supper, the Ridgeway singers, all 42 of them, music, poetry, and Rural tales
We have met some lovely people from the audiences, who are always friendly, happy to chat and often come back.
In the early days, Artsreach events, for us, were about revenue for the refurbishment of the hall, but over time have become more about bringing the Arts to a rural community and the hall becoming a venue for this with really good quality, professional productions.
Stalbridge hall has also hosted two fashion shows, a Murder Mystery, Call My Bluff and regular quizzes.
The Hall is also home to The Stalbridge Players Amateur Dramatics Society, who have given great performances over the years with plays, shows and hugely supported pantomimes.
