STALBRIDGE SUPER SPIES !

1/4/2021

Picture
Artsreach and Stalbridge Hall presents an Easter Super Spy Interactive Performance Game for Stalbridge 5 to 11 year olds starting on Sunday 11th April and finishing on Sunday 18th April 2021. Both Sundays involve a secure online Zoom Chat with the Angel Exit Theatre, who will explain the rules, set the scene and set up the tasks and challenges to be completed in the days between the two online sessions.

What's it all about?

Marvellous Super Spies leader Mirabel Merryweather, newly initiated Claude Pringle, and all the Super-Spies are under lockdown like everyone else. Unfortunately, they’ve had worrying reports that The Vortex - their rival spy gang - are active and have started luring new spies to the dark side in Stalbridge. Claude and Mirabel need families in those communities to brush up on their Super-Spy skills and help them out on the ground, solving some vital clues to stamp out The Vortex!

How can the children participate?

This brand new, interactive performance game will take the format of two 30 minute interactive sessions at home with Angel Exit Theatre on a private, secure Zoom chat, with a series of fun challenges to complete in between:
  • Sunday 11 April, 2pm - introduction and initial training meeting, setting up the tasks (30mins).
  • Sunday 18 April, 2pm - a conclusion meeting where we will hear how the newly recruited super-spies have got on and see if the mystery has been solved! (30mins).
Between the two zoom meetings, Super-Spies will embark on a clue trail around Stalbridge. There will also be a series of fun, interactive challenges, and activities available online to access anytime. Places just £5 per family/device.
Additional Information
Families must have a good internet connection and capacity to access Zoom on a device. (Don’t worry though we will have a back up plan for internet connections being dodgy!).
This experience is aimed at 5-11 year olds living in Stalbridge, who must participate with an adult member of their family, but we strongly encourage the whole family to attend where possible.
Families can also participate from the safety and comfort of their own homes, without taking part in the clue trail. Places are limited to just 20 families per community - so early booking is advised!

Past entertainment at Stalbridge Hall

Had 2020 and Covid 19 not put a stop to it, this would have been Stalbridge Halls fourth year as Artsreach Promoters.
We have had some amazing performances, some we knew would be well supported, like Living Spit who always perform to a full house at The Exchange, and some that were a bit outside the box.  Who knew Opera in Stalbridge would be a success?
We have hosted comedy nights, Opera, Fairy tales, Cabaret, A celebration of Local Poet William Barnes (Twice) with a supper, the Ridgeway singers, all 42 of them, music, poetry, and Rural tales
We have met some lovely people from the audiences, who are always friendly, happy to chat and often come back.
In the early days, Artsreach events, for us, were about revenue for the refurbishment of the hall, but over time have become more about bringing the Arts to a rural community and the hall becoming a venue for this with really good quality, professional productions.
Stalbridge hall has also hosted two fashion shows, a Murder Mystery, Call My Bluff and regular quizzes.
The Hall is also home to The Stalbridge Players Amateur Dramatics Society, who have given great performances over the years with plays, shows and hugely supported pantomimes.
